How it works
Everything you need to know about ranking, points and fair play.
Ranking is based on reputation points. You earn them through activity — rating restaurants, collecting tips and positive reactions from the community.
Minimum score is 0 — negative reactions cannot go below zero.
Limit resets every night at midnight.
Before giving tips, rate at least 3 places in TroveBites.
New accounts can give tips after one week — protects against fake accounts.
If someone tipped you, you can't tip them back. The system detects this automatically.
For each complete restaurant review you receive +1 ranking point. A review is complete when you fill in all elements.
Every rating category must be filled — without this saving is impossible. A warning appears under empty sliders.
Add at least one tag describing cuisine or atmosphere for the review to be complete and earn points.
Write a short description of your visit. It helps other users decide about the restaurant.
You can earn the point only once per restaurant — editing a review doesn't give additional points.
If you edit a complete review and remove tags or description — you'll be warned about point loss before saving.
You can react to max 10 lists each day.
Rate at least 1 place to react to others' lists.
You can only react to each list once. The reaction is final.
Every complete review (sliders + tag + description) = +1 pt. Fastest way to earn points without relying on others.
The more different restaurants you rate, the more points you collect — each restaurant counts separately.
Lists with many places and specific cities get more 👍 reactions.
More friends = more chances for tips and reactions. Build your foodie crew.
Home is your daily food news feed. Scroll posts from friends and discover new places matched to your taste.
Restaurant reviews published on Home by TroveBites users. Contain editorial text, photos, tags and rating.
Places recommended by TroveBites — fetched from Google Places for your city, sorted by taste match. Each card has a short AI note.
When you give someone an Awesome for a great post — the author gets +2 ranking points. The best way to appreciate a great review.
Search by restaurant name, author or tags. Filter feed and DISCOVER cards for any Polish city.
1. Go to Explore → find restaurant → Rate visit. 2. Fill in rating. 3. Enable Publish to Home toggle. 4. Write editorial and optionally add photos. 5. Save.
Bites are short videos (up to 60 seconds) about a restaurant — record the interior, a dish or the menu and show friends what a photo can't capture.
Record several short clips (e.g. interior, dish, menu) — together up to 60 seconds total. You can also add a photo.
Pick music from 16 categories for each clip — it plays automatically and can be muted.
AI checks whether your Bite shows the interior, a dish, the menu or a comment. Meet 3 of 4 criteria and publish publicly to earn +2 tip points.
Public Bites are visible to everyone and can earn a tip. Foodies-only Bites are visible only to your friends.
React to others' Bites just like posts — Awesome, Helpful or Suspicious. Double-tap (or double-click) the center of the screen also gives an Awesome.
Swipe sideways to switch Bites, hold to pause, tap the screen edges to move between clips within the same Bite.
In the Friends tab find the Discover Lists section — a search engine for public lists of all TroveBites users.
Sort lists by match to your taste tags — the more common tags, the higher the list appears.
Click a list card to expand details — see the author's profile with status, points and ranking position.
Click Follow on a list to add it to followed. Followed lists are accessible in the Friends tab.
No — every reaction is final. Think before you click.
You earn points when: (1) you complete a restaurant review, (2) others give you a tip, (3) others react 👍 to your lists. Activity alone without these elements doesn't give points.
A complete review = all sliders filled (required) + min. 1 tag + visit description. When saving a complete review for the first time for a restaurant you receive +1 pt.
Every day at midnight (local time).
Each Awesome received for a Home post gives the author +2 ranking points. Your Awesomes are visible in My Statistics.
Yes — go to Edit review for that restaurant. You can also update the editorial and photos by re-enabling the Publish to Home toggle.
A Bite is a short video (up to 60s) focused on one place; a Home post is a written review with photos and a rating. Both can earn you points, but under different rules.
Yes — you can add, remove or reorder clips, change the cover and subtitles. Editing doesn't trigger a new AI score and doesn't change the tip.
